Art Dolls

Mixed media Art Dolls is a collection of 'audacious dolls with attitude', by Alberta artist Judy Fairweather.

When Judy creates these dolls, she tries to present a piece that will encourage people to take a second look, have a good laugh or be inspired and motivated.

When designing them she tries to think outside the box. First, she creates the face, that is where the 'story' resides. "I am amused by their personalities and delighted by the characters they become."

Next comes the body and clothing: "It is like a puzzle for me to find just the right combination of materials to get the look I am after."

Finally all the finishing details and embellishments are carefully chosen. Although they are mute, they each have a singular message that comes from within. "No one is you, and that is your power!"

Judy hopes you find inspiration and joy in her creations. "I give my dolls a piece of my heart, and hopefully they will fill someone else's heart (and home)."

Each doll is about 10" high and priced at $48.
Exciting news, I had set up an initiative to fund raise for the Camrose Womens Shelter. This started during Covid and has just been completed (June , 2024). I am thrilled that I raised over $3500 for this worthy cause.
